BSQ Magazines Editor in Chief Jaron Coby had a chance to sit down and have a Q & A with Fashion new comer ‘Mr. Dead fresh’ to talk about his fan crazed “Dead Fresh Crew” Clothing line and also got a clearly painted picture on style, taste in music and what the future holds for this group of Icons!

BSQ: Who came up with the name “Dead Fresh Crew” & how?

Mr. Dead Fresh: Johnnie Fresco & Snax were listening to Young Dro and heard the line,

Dead Fresh hoes be like damn thats a mannequin.”

We thought oh shit, mannequins always have on the flyest shit. We are like Mannequin Men, we are the Dead Fresh Crew. TLee heard it & said “whatever it is im in” and that was that.

BSQ: Do you or any member of “DFC” have prior fashion experience?

Mr. Dead Fresh: No

BSQ: So where did you get your design inspiration from?

Mr. Dead Fresh: Everyday life! Anything from cartoons to sky diving. Nothing is taken for granted.

BSQ: What is the best perk in being a designer?

Mr. Dead Fresh: Meeting potential collaborators and/or other artist and having a brainstorm session, and of course meeting new friends who enjoy your work.

BSQ: You mention Gardena, Ca a lot, is that where Team “DFC” is from?

Mr. Dead Fresh: Yes, #Garrr

BSQ: What keeps you & “Team DFC” grounded?

Mr. Dead Fresh: Faith & Family. Taking time to appreciate, look at & learn from our past.

BSQ: Does music play a role in your fashion? If so how?

Mr. Dead Fresh: Hell yea!  It gives a voice & a sound to our lifestyle. We can speak to our people. Remember!
BSQ: I’m gonna give you some options, tell me what your choices would be.

Nike Dunks or Jordans?

Mr. Dead Fresh:  Jordans!

Cargo Shorts or Jean Shorts?

Mr. Dead Fresh:  Cargo Shorts.

Crewneck Shirts or V-Necks?

Mr. Dead Fresh:  Crewneck.

Fitted Hat or Snap Back?

Mr. Dead Fresh: Fitted.

BSQ: What can the world expect from “DFC” in the future?

Mr. Dead Fresh: The World can expect great things from the Dead Fresh Crew in the future. As we learn and continue to evolve, we plan to make positive changes to the lifestyle.

BSQ: What advice would you give to all the aspiring fashion designers out there?

Mr. Dead Fresh: Read James A. Michener’s , “The Master in The Art of Living”.  This is for any aspiring person:

“The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his information and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he’s always doing both.”

BSQ: If we took your ipod what type of music would we hear on it?

Mr. Dead Fresh: A lil bit of everything. Hip Hop, Smooth Jazz, Oldies, R&B, Electro pop, Alternative rock, even a few Success and/or business seminars.

Lastly,
We at Dead Fresh Crew would love to thank the staff at BSQ Magazine for your interest in the crew. AISDFC cash us out we never lose. RYOD. Yurp!
